Journey With Jehoshaphat #2

2 Chronicles 20:1-4

At the beginning of chapter 20 Jehoshaphat discovers that the Moabites, Ammonmites and Meunites are coming to wage war with him.   Additionally, close by is a vast army from Edom ready to advance on his kingdom.  What can we learn, in these Covid 19 days from Jehoshaphat?

Surprise Attack by the enemy Against God’s People                   Verses 1,2

Jehoshaphat was alarmed and afraid

Sincere Prayer by the King for God’s People                              Verse 3

Jehoshaphat set himself to seek the LORD

Simultaneously Fasting by God’s People                                    Verse 3

Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast for all Judah

From the action of Jehoshaphat we can see take hope from Romans 8:37;  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
