Journey With Jehoshaphat #6

2 Chronicles 20:13-15

The impending war facing  Judah was affecting everyone regardless of age.   One can imagine the anxiety, fretfulness and concern with the Ammonites, Moabites and the people  Mount Seir nearby. Living in these Covid 19 days is a cause for concern.  What can we learn from how everyone in Judah responded.

Every Member of Each Family Stood Before the LORD

All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, 

stood there before the Lord.  Verse 13

Every Member of Each Family Listened to the LORD

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in 

Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: . . . Verse 14a

Every Member of Each Family was Strengthened by the Word of the LORD

. . . Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. 

For the battle is not yours, but God’s.  Verse14b

Remember with all battles, like the church in Corinth we can rejoice and say; But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:57
